The Big Lawn is a collective of Dunedin musicians doing what they love; writing songs recording and playing live. The project is driven by songwriter and vocalist Jimmy Higgs and the music ranges from meaty to melodic – never without groove and loaded with harmony.
The current playing lineup includes Richard Strang on bass (Runt, The Windows), Jimmy Strang on drums (Rollercoaster & King Leo), Scott Klenner (Koputai People’s Party) and Michael Grant (Rusty Pilot).
Together they form the The Big Lawn, a collective designed to be powerful, recarckulatory and transient – when necessary.
This Saturday they are joined by Horatio (featuring Mac Te Ngahue and Eugene Shields) and Grexit (featuring Graeme Peters) for an evening of frivolity and rocking rolling rekarckulation.
