Nick Knox & Rosa Black, with Reuben Warden

Returning to the stage, Nick Knox and Rosa Black are proud to present their potencies at Bark, the new extension of Dog With Two Tails. A sparkling new sound system and stage to help take you skyward. Joined on the night by Reuben Warden from Dr Elongationist.

Nick Knox plays complex polyphonic keyboard music using Arabic scales and Baroque-esque motivic shapings, giving his work a very distinctive flavour. He has a dark husky voice that is often compared to Tom Waits and Nick Cave. He featured in a BBC funded documentary (2014) about his life and music. https://vimeo.com/96039873

Rosa Black (aka Bethany Robertson) has been playing regularly in Dunedin over the past two years. An astonishing vocal power and precision, and gifted songwriter. Her style and presence often draws comparisons with Amy Whitehouse. Very much a talent to watch.

Reuben Warden exudes dark powerful masculine viscerality in his work, mostly known as part of band Dr Elongationist, will this night be performing a solo set, guitar and vocals.

An amazing addition to the music scene in Dunedin. Bark adds a much needed new mid sized venue. Along with the cosy goodness and lovely staff of Dog With Two Tails, come welcome Winters arrival with a bevvy or two.
